"Is Christianity our Title or our Actions?"

Is Christianity a noun, or a verb? Well, the Bible says, "They will know us by our love", not by holding up a sign (metaphorically speaking) telling the world we are. So, I wonder, is it right to justify who we are by our words or by our actions? I think we all know the answer to this question, if we really think about it. The commandment that was given by God was to love one another. (1 Corinthians 13:4-13-"4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.)  So, I leave us with one thought (me included)...are we a doer or do we just talk about it?

"God Doesn't Go Against His Word"

First of all, God doesn't go against His Word...what He says, if we hear Him right, is Truth..the Word of God says, "Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever"(Hebrews 13:8) He doesn't change His mind and put us on this roller coaster ride of emotions...A loving God doesn't play games with our Hearts like that..He heals our hearts...into peace, not confusion..
God is the ONLY one that can provide us with "a peace that surpasses ALL understanding (Philippians 4:7) during our most dark days". And if you ask Him to give you that kind of peace and focus on Him, and not the problem (no matter big or small) God will give you a peace, that no man can give, one that we surely can't explain during our most difficult times. He is truly faithful! Let me say this, as I encourage, God is also using my words to encourage me. Because, I need to hear it over and over again :) So, I challenge all of us to put our faith in God who is the only one who brings genuine peace."

"A Better Life"

"The day will come when we all have to go,
Sometimes sooner than we thought we'd know,
So, be ready at all times to walk across the Great Divide,
Because we never know when our time is drawing nigh,
However, we can be assured of where we are going,
By placing all our trust in the All Knowing,
He has promised to always love and never leave you,
To always guide you through and through,
So, what do you say we,
Get on our knees and pray"

"Resting In Peace"

Everyone of us needs down time..We were created to work hard and then rest (regroup if you will..in body, mind and spirit). It is sometimes so hard for us to realize when we are at our wits end until it's too late. Then we crash. Just as our bodies need rest every night, our spirits need rest too. And by spending time with God in His Word, prayer and meditation (being quiet to listen to God) we get just that, rest.  God longs to talk to us, even more than we want to talk to Him. In another words, He is always there ready and waiting to speak to His children (you and me). We are the ones, and I am definitely including myself, who run such a fast pace in life.We don't stop to think what will happen when we have nothing else left to give. Well, what happens is we drop, and find that it is much harder to get back up because we didn't maintain ourselves (spiritually and physically). If we start each day in prayer with our Father in Heaven, things may not get easier, but they sure are easier to handle with God backing us. You see, there is a peace that only God can give during even our darkest days. This is a peace we cannot fathom. It can't be explained no matter how hard we try. It is one that nothing tangible (money, cars, things) can bring. The peace comes from the inside out (God), not from the outside in (things of this world). Only God can heal an emotionally torn heart. Nothing outside of that can do so. Again, this healing starts from the inside out, not the outside in.

Look at it this way, it is easier to see what is in a cup when it's full. But, when it's empty we have no clue. If we start every morning with a fresh start (spending time with God) then we get spiritually filled up, then it overflows out of us to where others will see. But, if we don't maintain our relationship with God, it also shows, and others will see it in many ways (attitude, the way we treat others, and etc.) Just as if we don't maintain our bodies by feeding them, we will starve ourselves, and again, others will see it.

So, I challenge each of you to find time every day to spend feeding your spirit, mind, and body.
(Psalm 55:22-"Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken")

"Weighed Down To Be Lifted Up"

"I might step on some toes, including mine, so here goes. I'm not sure why some people must act ugly. My personal experience is from other Christians. It seems so easy and natural for them to point out your flaws and judge you for your mistakes. While, all along they have their own issues. It's rare for me to voice my opinion regarding this. But, it is all too real for me. Now, let me say, I have been guilty of this a time or two, and really felt convicted by the Holy Spirit. Which is why, I feel compelled to bring it up. A good rule of thumb is, Satan condemns, and God convicts. God, teaches us, while the devil tears down. As Christians, we are of the same family; the Family of God Almighty. You can't be "grandfathered in" into a relationship with Jesus. It's a personal relationship, we must receive it intimately and personally between Jesus and ourselves. No one can do this for us. Jesus wants our hearts to be willingly relinquished by each of us independently. We each have the choice to make a decision to follow Jesus or not. That is our choice. No one can make it for us. We certainly are not called to judge one another. We are all "works in progress". I think we forget this vital point. We are all at different stages of our walk with the Lord. None of us are at the same place. And it's really not fair or just that we judge according to our personal prospective, that's God's job. We all have things in our lives we are working through with the Lord. I want to share that I am simply a man who seeks a better way. I've made some mistakes and will make some more. But one day, I'm going to hear my Lord and Savior Jesus say "Well done my good and faithful servant." We are called by God to love one another, that includes forgiving each other for wrongs done to us. (Matthew 18:21-22-"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times? (22) Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.) Another words Jesus is saying we are to forgive with no limits. It is hard, but by forgiving someone, it gives you the freedom, not the person you are forgiving.

So, I challenge each of us to search our own hearts and take it to Jesus. The good news is Jesus has already redeemed all of us from any mistakes we have made in the past, or will ever make." Be encouraged!

"God's Reformation"

"Life is a journey we must take alone,
If we aren't careful it can turn our hearts into stone,
Our hardened hearts can invite in bitterness and strife,
If not dealt with, it will eat at us the rest of our lives,
But, it doesn't have to stay that way,
I know someone that can turn that stone into clay,
He will mold it and make it new to receive,
And you will look into the mirror and say "It's a new me",
So, don't give up hope too soon,
Or you will miss out on God's biggest clue, Jesus!"

"Baby Steps-Learning to Walk"

Psalm 37:23-24 -"The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand." The person in whom God delights is one who follows God, trust Him, and tries to do His will. God watches over and makes firm every step that person takes. If you would like to have God direct your way, then seek His advice before you step out.

One of my favorite Scriptures is Proverbs 3:5-6 ("Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."). It tells us that leaning has a sense of putting our whole weight on something, resting on and trusting in that person or thing. When we have an important decision to make, we sometimes feel that we can't trust anyone-not even God. But God knows what is best for us. He is a better judge of what we want that even we are! We must trust Him completely in every choice we make (I am working on it!). We should not leave out careful thinking or belittle our God-given ability to reason; but we should not trust our own ideas to the exclusion of all others. We must not have the mind set that we can do this on our own. We should always be willing to listen to and be corrected by God's Word and wise counselors. So, I encourage us today to bring our decisions to God in prayer; use the Bible as our guide; an then follow God's leading. He will make our paths straight by both guiding and protecting us.

"Stop Beating Yourself Up!"

Don't torture yourself over the past. Use it as a teacher. Whatever happened to you in the past has only prepared you for now. We all need to learn and not burn from our past. Satan wants us to focus on what we have done wrong, when God is saying let's move on to what is right. God keeps us moving forward to continually grow. Whereas, if we are thinking about our past, we are sitting still and sometimes going backward. That's Satan's plan, stop growing, stop knowing (who you are in Christ)!  (Ephesians 4:31-32-"Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.") The Good News is God has forgiven you, so you must forgive yourself!

We seem to always lean on God more when we are in a valley. I think that is where most lessons are learned for the simple fact, because we feel like the situation is out of our hands. We find ourselves crying out to God in desperation to fix our lives. When truthfully, we may have to go through some pain to learn the lesson. Our Father in Heaven wants what is best for us, and if we are His, and we step off the beaten path of God's Will, He is kind enough to get us back on track. So, instead of fighting God during times of learning, we should grasp a hold of His Hand and meditate on His Word. That is the only way we will find true peace. (Jeremiah 29:12-"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.")

"Whom Shall You Fear?"

Proverbs 29:25-"Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." (Fear of people can hamper everything you try to do. In extreme forms, it can make you afraid to leave your home. By contrast, fear of God-respect, reverence, and trust-is liberating. Why fear people who can do no eternal harm? Instead, fear God who can turn the harm intended by others into good for those who trust Him.)

Satan would love to have us believe that every circumstance (or trial) we face will be the one to take us to the end of our rope in this life as we know it. But, that's not true! We have a God that teaches us perseverance through these trials which builds us into the character He wants us to be. He wants us to live in freedom, peace and joy. And Jesus is the ONLY true person that can give us all three ultimately. I know this life offers us temporary joy, but Jesus offers us Eternal joy. Joy that is unspeakable (Psalm 30:5 "For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning".). The devil would love nothing more than to keep our mouths shut and silenced (fear comes in) to reading or speaking the Word over our situations. I know this, because I've been going through it recently...But, God is a God of Love. I really believe some of us have forgotten that. God is Love, and we are called to walk in that same love. Now, I know we are human and we make mistakes, but that's not an excuse to not keep trying. There is a hurting world out there, and they do need a Savior. And that person is Jesus, the Son of God! The Living One, the One who forgave us of all the sin we have committed or will ever commit. Do not let Satan rent space in your head. Because if you let him, we will stay as long as you allow him to stay (he will over stay his welcome). So, the next time you are going through a trial, and the devil knocks on your door for a room to rent, tell him their is NO vacancies, and to get lost in Jesus' Name!

"A Loving Father"

At times, God must discipline us to help us. This is similar to a loving parent's disciplining his child. The discipline is not very enjoyable to the child, but it is essential to teach him right from wrong. The Bible says that, "no discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." (Hebrews 12:11). When you feel God's hand of correction, accept it as proof of His love. Realize that God is urging you to follow His paths instead of stubbornly going on your own way. (Psalm 94:12,13-"Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord, the one you teach from your law; you grant them relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked.) So, I leave you with one thought. Our Father in Heaven loves and cherishes you so much that He would correct us from destruction from ourselves.

"Faithful To Faithless Back To Faithful"

When we have endured so much that we seem to have no faith left. We may be faithless at times, but Jesus is faithful to His Promise to be with us "to the very end of age". Refusing Christ's help will break our communication with God, but He will never turn His back on us, even though we may turn our backs on Him. (1 Thessalonians 3:1-3-"So when we could stand it no longer, we thought it best to be left by ourselves in Athens. 2 We sent Timothy, who is our brother and co-worker in God’s service in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, 3 so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them.")

We all know quite well that we are destined for trials, and troubles that could waver our faith a bit. Some think troubles are always caused by sin or a lack of faith. Trials may be a part of God's plan for believers. Experiencing problems and persecutions can actually build character, (James 1:2-4-"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.") perseverance, (Roman 5:3-5-"Not only so, but we[a] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.") and sensitivity  toward others who also facing trouble (2 Corinthians 1:3-7-"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.")

Problems are unavoidable for God's people. Your troubles may be a sign of effective Christian living. And I would like to add to this. I have gone through some pretty deep valley's the last year alone. This one right now is probably the hard one I've ever had to go through. However, big, or deep the trials are, I know God has my back and I can always talk to Him and He will listen. I may not hear anything back immediately, but I know My Father God is listening. We are all pilgrims on this journey to fulfill our duties for our Lord Jesus Christ.  But I do mess up. And that is why I lean and trust on the Grace and Mercy God shows us everyday. So, be encouraged, if you are messing up, that's okay. God will open up His arms to you and love on you if you repent of your sins, and move on. God has wiped your slate clean because of what Jesus did on the cross. It's not a works thing, it's a faith thing. Now, that is good news!

"Persevere"

Proverbs 24:10-"If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength." Times of trouble can be useful. They can show who you really are, what kind of character you have developed. In addition, they can help you grow stronger. When Jeremiah questioned God because of the trouble he faced God asked "how he ever expected to face big challenges if the little one's tired him out?" (Jeremiah 12:5-"If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?) Don't complain about your problems. The trouble you face today is training you to be stronger for the more difficult situations you will face in the future.

Just because you don't feel or see anything happening, doesn't mean God isn't working. He always works behind the scenes first. God will never let you down! (Hebrews 13:5-6-"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you;  never will I forsake you.”So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?”) God is saying, "Everything will work out! I'm in control." I know what the medical report says, I know what the financial situation looks like. I see your dreams. Just trust me!" So, I encourage you to do the same today.

"Don't turn in or out, but Up!"

"David's firm faith in God contrasted sharply with his enemies' loud lying and boasting. When confronted with verbal attacks, the best defense is simply to be quiet and Praise God, realizing that our confidence is in His Love and faithfulness (Psalm 57:10-"For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.") In times of great suffering, don't turn inward to self-pity (blame yourself) or outward to revenge (blame someone else), but turn Upward to God!

God cares in the midst of our deepest sorrow, (Psalm 55:22-"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken."). Jesus reminded us further of how much God understands it-He knows even the number of hairs on our head (Matthew 10:30-"And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.") Often, we waver between faith and fear. When we feel so discouraged we are sure no one understands, remember that God knows every problem and sees every tear.

In Psalm 57:4 it says, "I am in the midst of lions; I lie among ravenous beasts-men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords."(At times we may be surrounded by people who gossip about us or criticize us. Verbal cruelty can damage us as badly as physical abuse. Rather than answering with hateful words, we like David, can talk to God about the problem.)

So, I leave you with one thought, the next time we have a problem, try turning upward to God first. I'm sure He won't let you down.

"Trials Aren't Easy"

"It's hard enough to deal with the trial at hand, on top of feeling the guilt of "did I do something to bring this on"? Sometimes, we do, sometimes we don't. However, we are told to stand in the midst of adversity whether we created it or not (Ephesians 6:13-"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.") But, we must remember, trials are a strengthening for us from God. He wants the "best" for us. He sees things we don't see. Only God knows what is around the corner. He knows the outcome of our trial if we faint not (Isaiah 57:10-".You wearied yourself by such going about ,but you would not say, ‘It is hope-less.’You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint.") And if I know God...It's always going to be GREAT! Sometimes, we must take a few steps back to move forward." And as we surrender ourselves to Him, We will see Him work everything out for our good and His purpose (Romans 8:28-"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.")

"Who Created Who?"

I'm probably going to step on some toes (especially mine) with my new post. But, I believe that it is important for us to stop and reflect about it for a minute. When we dictate to God what He should do in our lives, and how He should do it, are we really giving God free reign in our lives?  I urge you to take a minute, ask yourself one question "Who Created Who"? Telling God what we want Him to do in our lives, instead of allowing to Him to do what's best for us. He created us, we didn't create Him. This thought process to me seems so foreign, and my opinion is that's why so many don't trust God.   The reasons for not trusting Him could be that God didn't do or respond the way we thought He ought to. And, that is not how our Creator works. God has always wanted what is best for us. But, we must first learn to trust Him. Lot's of times it is not what we thought. Put it this way, we are dictating a letter from God, He isn't dictating one from us. He is our  Creator, We are not His creator. We are His Creation (Ephesians 2:10-"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.") We are God's workmanship (work of art, masterpiece). Our salvation is something only God can do. It is His powerful, creative work in us. If God considers us His works of art, we dare not treat ourselves or others with disrespect or as an inferior work.

A lot of times, if we were honest with ourselves. We could all say that we sometimes have a habit of only calling on God or getting close to Him when we get ourselves into a situation we can't get out of.  Again, I believe this thinking is backward. God is the One who created the Universe. If you look up Acts 7:49, it says, "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool, What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?"  We must remember when Jesus says we can ask anything, it must be done in His (Jesus) name-that is, according to God's character and will. God will not grant request contrary to His nature and will, and we cannot use His name as a magic formula to fulfill our selfish desires. If we are sincerely following God and seeking to do His will, then our requests will be in line with what He wants, and He will grant them.

In Colossians 3:10, it says "and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator."  Every Christian is in a continuing education program. The more we know Christ and His work, the more we are being changed to be like Him. Because the process is lifelong, we must never stop learning and obeying. There is no justification for drifting along, but there is an incentive to find the rich treasures of growing in Him. It takes practice, ongoing review, patience, and concentration to keep in line with His Will.

God created the world, and He has faithfully ordered it and kept it since the creation (1 Peter 4:19-"So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good."). Because, we know that God is faithful, we can count on Him to fulfill His Promises to us. If God can oversee the forces of nature, surely He can see us through the trials we face. So, God is big enough to take care of every area in our life, I mean EVERY area! All we must do is surrender, first our lives to Him, then the areas we struggle in. He is faithful to help carry us through these areas. I promise He will, I've seen it time and time again.

So, I leave you with one thought. If your life is in shambles and you've tried everything in your own power to fix things and nothing happened, but instead actually getting worse. I suggest try God! He is a God that can be trusted. Remember, He created you!

"Don't Give Up!"

Today is not a normal day. It is an exceptional day! Today (Good Friday) marks the day that we as Christ-followers have been given a New start to come as Jesus was nailed to the cross, barren, broken, and stripped from everything to the world. But, in reality, it was the start of God's plan for redeeming the world. Through the Blood of Jesus being shed on the Cross.

You see, until this time, a complicated system of sacrifices had atoned for sins. Sin separates people from God, and only through the sacrifice of an animal, a substitute, could people be forgiven and become clean before God. But people sin continually, so frequent sacrifices were required. Jesus, however, became the final and ultimate sacrifice for sin. The word finished is the same as "paid in full". That is so awesome! Jesus came to finish God's work of salvation (John 4:34-“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work."), to pay the penalty for our sins. With His death, the complex sacrificial system ended because Jesus took all sin upon Himself. This now allows us to freely approach God because of what Jesus did for us ( Hebrews 4:16-"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."). Those who believe in Jesus' death and resurrection can live eternally with God and escape the penalty that comes from sin.

I know that we all face trials in life. Some seem to have more trials than others. But remember this, "every trial has a time limit".  Jesus went through the ultimate trial...death! By Jesus dying, "He gave up His life, so we could keep ours". That is a profound thought. So, I leave you with one thought: Don't give up, He promises to never give up on you!

"My Only Option"

"I sit here and wonder will I change,
It seems that everyone I'm around, I drain,
I don't like the ways I've been pulled in,
It all seems to real and I so bad want it to end,
So, Jesus I look to You to help me see,
The areas in my life You need to clean,
I give all those places in my heart,
Even those ones that seem so dark,
Only You can take the dark pain away,
Only You can see the space in my heart to change,
I've hurt the persons I've loved most,
And because of my actions the distance isn't close,
There is no one to blame but me,
I have no one else but You to cling,
When we are in trouble and no end in sight,
Lord Jesus, I cry out to You with all of my might,
No words spoken can fix any solution,
Only You God, have produced Jesus, the Right Resolution."

"God Is My Pilot"

A number of years ago there was a saying going around. It read "God is My Co-Pilot" on many license plates. I know what was meant by it and their intentions were good (They simply meant God is this place).  However, I had a thought.  Wouldn't we be better if God was actually our Pilot, you know, first in command, guiding us through life.
I mean, if my airplane hits turbulence (trials, difficulties we face). I would revert back to God anyway because He's the only One equipped to handle our problems.  For me, I'd rather have God driving because He knows where all the curves are in the road (trials, struggles we go through in this life). God is NEVER caught off guard by anything we do or say. God is the expert on handling life's problems. The Good News is that we can draw our strength from God.
"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"-Isaiah 40:30-31. We all get tired at times.  But remember God's power and strength never diminishes. He is never to busy or too tired to help and listen. His strength is our strength. When we feel all of life closing in on you and cannot take another step, remember that you can call upon God to renew your strength. "The Joy of the Lord is our strength"-Nehemiah 8:10. Hoping in the Lord is expecting that His Promise of strength will help us to rise above life's distractions and difficulties. It means trusting in God. Trusting helps us to be prepared when He speaks to us. We would be more willing to be patient when He asks us to wait and expect Him to fulfill the Promises found in His Word. So, to sum this up; Do you want God driving your life around the curves to help avoid pitfalls, or would you rather do it yourself and take your chances?

"Peace That Matters"

"If you don't have peace just wait and see,
It is for all to receive, it's free,
The peace of this world is all too quick to go away,
But the peace I'm talking about will always stay,
You must first determine to change your direction,
And choose to take the correct action,
You will never get it all right,
And through Jesus, we are perfect in God's sight,
The fact is we all fail everyday,
The truth is that God says come anyway."

"The Eternal Secret"

"Life is full of ups and downs,
But I know a secret that may turn it all around,
It's not a quick fix or anything like that,
To be truthful, you may feel as if you've gone backwards before you know where you're at,
But, I promise, the process will be worth it all,
You will start seeing the problems become so very small,
By simply putting your Trust in Jesus above,
His arms are opened wide just waiting to share His love,
So you see, the secret I mentioned before,
It's not a big secret anymore."

"Do Our Part"

"Having discipline is a difficult thing,
When we don't have it, it causes a sting,
God gave us the responsibility to do our part,
So pick up your boot straps and make a clean start,
Sitting there and doing nothing is not the best option,
Let's stand up on our feet and put our faith into action,
By not doing anything, a choice you decide to make,
If done for a very long could be a costly mistake,
So make a decision and do something with your life today,
And you won't be all lonely, confused and led astray,
The Lord can provide all things for us to succeed,
But we must all do our part and take the lead."

"Rumors Of A Lie"

"The thoughts of feelings right now are rummaging through my heart to blame,
And as my heart is doing so my head is doing the same,
I feel as if I have no resolution for my actions,
Not one thought stays in my brain's station,
I often feel as if I have failed my one true love,
By failing to look at You above,
My love is deeper that the depth of the ocean,
Like waves I screw it up and cause all kinds of commotion,
I want the peace that surpasses all understanding,
One that only You Jesus can give me without demanding,
My actions have left my body the words left my mouth,
Only to give you a reason to doubt,
I wish I could re-do and take each step again,
Only because I found out there was a better plan,
Lying never gets you anywhere in life,
The only thing it causes in a relationship is strife,
I have repented to you time and time again,
Only to find out what's done leaves a relentless stain,
So be careful how you speak and make amends,
If not done correctly, it could be the story at it's end."

"Going Backwards To Move Forward"

"Satan is a mastermind at making us feel worthless in life,
But I strive to know different when God says, "We are new creations in Christ",
It is sometimes very hard to get past the thought that I am nothing,
Just to get up and take a stand to prove we are something,
I am continually trying to draw my strength from You God, because I can't do it alone,
At night, I know You hear every word I think and say even the cries and moans,
Father God You are faithful to open our hearts to receive what is true,
To do what is best for us and make our lives brand-new,
But for this to happen, we must first let go,
So if we must look backward for one last glance,
Make sure it is to only move forward and not to remember the past."
